dyeing #D printed plastics
  • What should I use? I was told almost anything would work, but that doesn't turn out to be the case. I have your dyes that I use on wool and silk, but they do nothing to the plastic except give it a bit of a tint.

    Thanks for writing in.
    We've had a fair number of folks requesting information regarding how to dye dimensional prints and if this is what you are referring to we have just the product for you.
    Use iDye poly at 3-5%, using the Color Intensifier at the same percentage, at a rolling boil (212f) for 30 minutes. For black, the process is the same but with an 8% load of dye and Intensifier. The results are fabulous.
