Jeans Immersion Dyed
with Procion MX

Tie Dyed with Procion MX

Batiked with Procion MX

This cold water fiber reactive dye is know the world over. The undisputed king of tie dye, Procion MX is also one of the most versatile dyes available. Use it for immersion dyeing, tie dye, batik, airbrush, garment dyeing, screen printing, spatter painting, gradation dyeing and more!

This cold water concentrated dye, which you add to tap water, is the most vivid of all dyes for cellulose fibers. If you have seen someone wearing a super bright almost "electric" tie dyed shirt that nearly blurs your vision, that's Procion MX!

You can easily create a palette of colors ranging from light pastels to deep, vibrant hues. Typically, one 2/3 oz. bottle will dye more than 1 pound of fabric - very bright colors will require more dye, pastel colors will require less.

Procion MX fiber reactive dye will dye all cellulose (plant) fibers and some protein (animal) fibers. Commmon cellulose fibers are cotton, linen, jute, ramie, sisal, and rayon. For best results on protein fibers we recommend using Jacquard Acid Dyes.
