Has anyone tried using this dye for anodizing?
  • Usually use the Caswell dyes, which are excellent, but need a more readily available source. RIT is ok, but found it to be splotchy. Any feedback would be welcome.
  • Dear Toki,

Wow! caught me completely off with this question - now I have something new to figure out!
I spoke with our C.O.O. & chief chemist and this is what he had to say "We’ve never used it for this. However, I do know that people often start with an acid dye. However, true anodizing dyes start with crude and use specific acids for cutting. The diluents that we use are not used in this industry at all. But I would say experiment"
Sorry we don't have more info for you, but thanks for the new study subject.
