help with indigo dye kit
  • I have used the indigo tie dye kit before with excellent results, but today I'm having some trouble. I started a new vat, following the instructions included with the kit, but the vat remains deep blue. It has not turned the characteristic transparent yellow-green. It seems that it would need more thiox/reducing agent, but I added the entire packet. I've let it sit for 3 hours, with no change. Thank you for your help.
  • It sounds like the reducing agent might be old. Please give customer service a call at 800-442-0455 and we'll get your information for a replacement.
