painting by vinyl sulfone dye
  • hi,
i am painting with vinyl sulfone dye on cotton (70%) t shirts, whare some shades are deep and light colors also,
after setting in home made steamer for 30 min whare the tempareture is always 90 to 98 c.
but the deep colos like navy blue or higher going duller as they washout.
but the lighter colors like yellow green or even red unchanged.
after washing of them little bleeding occurs when drying.
what is the cause of it. please advice how to improve it.
i prepare colors by urea, soft water, pre soak with soda ash all system etc.
  • One of the first concerns we have is that the shirts are only 70% cotton. The Concentrated Vinyl Sulphon Dyes will only work with natural fibers, so it won't fix to anything synthetic. In addition, you can find complete instructions here to make sure that the rest of your process matches our instructions: http://www.jacquardproducts.com/products/dyes/cvsd/instructions1.phpe:

Lastly, if you want to give Customer Service a call with the batch number and complete details of your process, we'd be happy to discuss it with you.
