painting a leather couch
  • I have a very nice leather couch that is now a very faded light purple. So its either replace it or try to paint it. I really like the idea of a distressed metallic color. I am not sure what paint to use or how the paint will change the softness of the leather.
Any advice would be greatly recommended.
Also I do plan on practicing on some faux leather kitchen chairs that I was going to replace anyways.
  • Hi Nobo,

    Thanks for your questions.
The paint to use to create a distressed metallic color would be one of our Lumiere paints http://jacquardproducts.com/lumiere.html.
Testing and practicing would be my best recommendation so your plan for your kitchen chairs is a good one.
Here is a link to a how-to for just this sort of project: http://glittersweatshop.typepad.com/sassy_feet_blog/2012/06/you-painted-your-what.html
