• I am new at this and want to print a picture to use on a quilt square. Is it better to use Silk or Cotton for this? I bought the silk inkj46 printing..but now not sure if I should have bought the cotton. I will be putting this on a cotton piece. Help...and thank you. Tina
  • Tina,

The question you ask is best answered by considering what you want your finished piece to look like. If you are going for a multi-textured feel/look then using the silk with cotton should fit right in. If you'd rather keep the piece more consistent the cotton might be your better choice.
Also, I'd like to take this opportunity to reiterate the need for pre-rinsing the inkjet fabric before you apply it to the finished piece - if it is a piece that will be washed or otherwise might get wet. There is nearly always excess ink on the inkjet fabric after printing and that ink can stain other fabric. If you do need to rinse the Ink Jet Fabric then let it dry 24 hours after printing before you do so.
