metallic resists
  • I just bought Jacquard's metallic resists as I want the color to stay on my designs. I'm using 8mm Habatai and 12mm Crepe de Chine with both Jacquard Green Label and Colorhue dyes.

The Silver and Gold bottles I purchased were so thick, even after stirring, that I diluted with water to get a better consistancy to draw with a squeeze bottle. The copper only required a little water. I've never used these before; is it normal to dilute or should they be used right from the jar. Are my really thick ones maybe really old (just purchased them at a local art store)?

    Thanks for your help.
  • Hi,
No this is not normal. Sometimne if the color has been on the shelf for too long thickening happens.
