Another question... Resist

Hi again,
This forum is so helpful! Thanks so much for your timely responses.

Anyway, I have a question about water-based resist. I read that I can mix it with water soluble dyes to make the resist line any color I want. Does this also count for paints, specifically dye na flow?

If I mix the resist with a dye na flow color and then iron the silk on the reverse side, will the paint inside the resist lines also be set?

Sorry for the delay in responding...

Adding Dye-Na-Flow (http://www.jacquardproducts.com/products/paints/dyenaflow/) to the Waterbased Resist (http://www.jacquardproducts.com/products/chemicals/waterbased_resist/) is probably not the best way to get colored resist lines. The main problem would be that in order to get significant color you'd have to dilute the resist to the point that it may not be viable as a resist.
A couple of other options would be the Permanent Metallic Waterbased Resits (http://www.jacquardproducts.com/products/chemicals/metallic_resist/)or, if you aren't interested in metallics you might try using either the Traditional Textiles (http://www.jacquardproducts.com/products/paints/textilecolors/) or the Neopaque (http://www.jacquardproducts.com/products/paints/neopaque/) line.
As always a little experimentation is a good idea.
