Can acid dyes and green label dyes be used together while painting on silk? also can i use the acid dyes to paint colors on silk and let it dry completely, then can i use the green label dyes to add a stencil or design, then let the fabric dry completely, then steam? or do i need to first steam the acid dye colors and let dry, then paint over with green label and steam again? And will steaming a second time weaken the acid dye?

Hi,
You can happily use Acid Dyes (http://www.jacquardproducts.com/products/dyes/aciddye/) and Green Label (http://www.jacquardproducts.com/products/dyes/silkcolors/) colors along side each other but there is no guarantee what will happen if you intermix them so do a test. As for stencilling over the acid dye you have to set the dye first by steaming and then apply the color after that, otherwise the colors will bleed.
