While the windmill at Prescott Farms was in hibernation this winter, artist Nora Rabins was preparing some colorful new sails for spring.    Members of the community participated in the creative process through on-site workshops to arrive at the large-scale design, derived from a pattern carved into grinding-stones inside the mill.

The sails will be hoisted and, wind permitting, the mill will turn on Sunday May 19th, 2013.  This will be the first time since 1987 that the Sherman Mill (circa 1812) will grind grain.
